Rocky Hill Ferry Park
Rocky Hill Ferry Park is home to the oldest ferry service in all of the United States. The Ricky Hill - Glastonbury Ferry transports visitors across the Connecticut River, and the park itself is known for its relaxing atmosphere and beautiful views. Pack a picnic and take in the scenery, or hop on the ferry to Glastonbury and back.
Mark Twain House and Museum
The historic home of Mark Twain and his wife Olivia has been restored and transformed into a museum with guided tours. The guided tour gives detailed insight into the lives of Mark Twain, also known by his birth name Sam Clemens, and his family. Though the tour can be taken at any time of year, visit in the Spring to enjoy a walk through the historic Nook Farm neighborhood.
Dinosaur State Park
If you or your family is interested in science, history, dinosaurs, or all of the above, Dinosaur State Park is a must this spring. The indoor museum’s list of exhibits includes tracks, fossils, and dioramas of dinosaurs that once roamed the Earth. Outside, explore over two miles of free walking trails through a variety of habitats. The main event this spring will be the interactive mining activity. Purchase a bag of mining rough and discover exciting fossils and minerals.
Still Hill Brewery
Still Hill Brewery is a new local microbrewery and tap room here in Rocky Hill. Events include trivia nights, yoga and barre classes, food trucks, and an upcoming fundraiser in March. The Pints for Pups event will be held on March 3, 2018, and raises money for One More Dog Rescue. Enjoy a taste of Rocky Hill’s newest brewery and raise funds for a great cause!
